Preludes has gotten off to a great start this semester!
After school Preludes students have impressed me with how quickly they have expanded their repertoire. They performed splendidly at the spaghetti feed fundraiser. It has been fun to teach a smaller and more focused group this quarter.
First grade students have advanced to using real violins already! We have a few more steps to complete before we start playing real pieces with bowing on the strings.
The Kindergarten classes have been a delight! They are looking forward to building their cardboard violins at Parent/Teacher conferences. In the meantime, they have been exercising their singing voices and learning to hear and clap a number of rhythms.
